Pirelli Powergy Winter

Pirelli SpA has expanded its portfolio of premium winter tires with the introduction of Powergy Winter.
The tire is now available in a range of 15- to 19-inch sizes, and is designed for mid-range and high-end vehicles with an emphasis on mobility in winter conditions.
During development, special attention was paid to traction on snow and icy surfaces. An improved rubber compound has been used with increased resistance to low temperatures and allowing the tire to meet the increased requirements for noise and rolling resistance.
Deep grooves at the end of the shoulder section improve grip on soft and deep snow. Massive shoulder blocks with densely cut lamella zones ensure stability when cornering. The wide central area is composed of multiple directional blocks with deep grooves and 3-D sipes that ensure stopping on snowy and icy road surfaces. The many wide channels help to remove wet snow and slush quickly and easily, and this helps the tire to adequately self-clean when driving in severe winter conditions.
